As an digital media artist, my head is always thinking in layers - this project is a physical metamorphosis of that idea into a more traditional, 3D piece. Inspired by the Japanese Decora-style, I bedazzled the acrylic with faux perals and gems.

Although acrylic can be a tacky, cheap looking material at times, I hoped to add a sense of depth and rich texture with the layering and the bedazzling.

My birthday is June 15th - my horoscope is Gemini and my birthstone is the pearl! <3
